Introduction

Did you ever want to travel to a galaxy far, far away? If so, you've come to the right place. The College of Astronomy will take you there. You'll learn about stars, planets, galaxies, and everywhere in between, through these courses in astronomical science. Come take a journey with us and explore this wonderful subject.

The College contains the School of Planetary Identification and Discovery (SIPD). This School is designed to give students information and basic knowledge on the various types of planetary objects both in the solar system and outside of our system. The first part of the School goes into the identifying and nature of objects in space from Asteroids to Gas Giants. The Exoplanet section covers the types and designations of Exoplanets. The 200-level section will examine the current methods for identifying and classifying stars. The 300-level section will look at the classification of planets in Star Trek.
