The School of Engineering History (SoEH) will provide "factual" engineering knowledge from both the "real world" and the Star Trek Universe, introducing the student to the basic principles and the people who made them great.

SoEH101 - Early Principles and Terms

"Real" world engineering principles and terms from the 20th century and before. The exam consists of 33 questions, all short answer and uses basic encyclopedia based knowledge.

SoEH102 - Pre-19th Century Pioneers

Get to know some of the early ground breakers in the field of Engineering, from back when Inventor and Engineer were synonyms.The exam consists of 33 questions, all short answer and uses basic encyclopedia based knowledge.

SoEH103 - 19th and 20th Century Pioneers

The technology ball gets rolling faster and faster and these innovators were right on top of it. The exam consists of 33 questions, all short answer and uses basic encyclopedia based knowledge.

SoEH104 - "Modern" Principles and Terms

Engineering principles and terms from the Star Trek Universe, our "modern" stuff.The exam includes 33 questions, all multiple choice, and uses The Star Trek Encyclopedia, preferably the latest edition, as reference. Many online resources exist may be equally helpful.

SoEH105 - Starfleet "Star" Engineers

This course looks at the Chief Engineers from each of the TV series, namely Tucker, Scott, LaForge, O'Brien and Torres. The exam includes 33 questions, all multiple choice, and uses The Star Trek Encyclopedia, preferably the latest edition, as reference. Many online resources exist that may be equally helpful.


SoEH201 - Early Principles and Terms - Part 2

SOEH201 continues from SoEH101 in familiarizing the student to many basic Engineering terms and principles, predominately from the 18th, 19th and 20th Centuries. The exam consists of 33 questions, all short answer and uses basic encyclopedia based knowledge.

SoEH202 - The SI Unit System

SoEH202 introduces the student to the SI system of units. The exam consists of 20 questions, all short answer and uses basic encyclopedia based knowledge.

SoEH203 - Other Starfleet Engineers

SoEH203 looks at the many engineering personnel from Starfeet other than the "chief" engineers examined in SoEH105. The consists of 33 questions, all short answer and uses http://www.startrek.com as a reference.

SoEH204 - "Modern" Principles and Terms - Part 2

SoEH204 continues after SoEH104 and continues to acclimate the student to many basic Engineering terms and principles from the "modern", post 20th Century. The exam consists of 33 questions, all short answer and uses http://www.startrek.com as a reference.

SoEH205 - Ship Recognition

SoEH205 allows the student to test their skills at identifying ship designs from the Star Trek universe. The exam consists of 33 questions, each with ship silhouette to be identified 'fill in the blank' style. Resources used to create this test are available on the internet from http://www.startrek.com and http://www.shipschematics.net.

SoEH206 - Non-Starfleet Engineers

Not all engineers seen or mentioned on screen have been Starfleet Engineers. This exam contains 20 questions, all the names of a non-Starfleet Engineer. Resources used to create this test are available at http://www.startrek.com or http://memory-alpha.org.

SoEH207 - Tools of the Engineers

Engineers are nothing without their tools, especially in the Star Trek Universe. This exam consists of 25 questions, all the names of a tool or device used by engineers somewhere in the Star Trek Universe. Resources used to create this test are available at http://www.startrek.com or http://memory-alpha.org.
